Granted, she was born in the birthplace of zen-simple design, Helsinki, Finland but Mari Forssell has overcome great odds, eventually moving to US after five years in the UK. Starting out as Stash Bags, Moose + Pine specializes in texture-on-texture laptop messenger bags (denim, my favourite) and goddamn cool TWEED camera bags, all handcrafted in a bygone retro style with Scandinavian modernity. Vintage fabrics like flannel, herringbone and wool set her products apart from her competitors.
