Percival is a relative newcomer to the scene and in this their third season of designing uniquely British men’s style, Percival’s latest collection has found a fan in me. While some pieces in their collection are immensely trendy, Percival has chosen lasting fabrics cut and created with luxurious garments with contrast linings that have made their Autumn Winter 2011 collection most outstanding in terms of quality, fit and utility; and as such I’ve curated a few timeless looks for your wardrobe.
Their third collection, Percival AW2011 provides a host of great blazers, shirts, trousers and knits in simple yet classically elegant tailored designs. Percival’s Autumn Winter collection seems to go against the sometimes sedate industry colour palettes with materials and details appealing to the inner fashion forward man child.
The wax mac makes a return with their (I hate to say it but I must) Burberry-esque trench though I must say the high contrast shoulder flap makes it all the chic while knitwear has seen the addition of breast pockets and includes the much beloved cable knit textures. Their corded trousers are investment pieces that will last you countless fashion cycles- consider them staples for your sartorial arsenal.
More importantly, the cottons have been sourced from Japan, giving their shirts an almost silky smooth feel. The biggest plus for me? High contrast linings- a mark of great refinement and for its owner, big personality. Percival AW 2011 is the way to speak volumes, subtly. Much love for every Monsieur.
