Classic Elegance Defined: Burberry Autumn Winter 2011
Since Christopher Bailey took the reigns from Burberry, the British label has just been going from strength to strength. This Autumn Winter 2011 campaign is no different, featuring British actors, models and musicians, Burberry has produced what I feel is the best of English style, the man himself says, “I was inspired by iconic British portraits and our own archive campaigns from the late 1960s of Jean Shrimpton using her trench coat to shelter herself from the poetic and romantic British weather.” Burberry Autumn Winter 2011 is so recognisably Brit (the birthplace of the gentlemen’s dresscode) that the Monsieur has little choice (gladly) but to endorse this definitive collection of classically elegant looks. Sadly, the AW2011 Burberry campaign images are mostly women oriented (6:1 – Mr. Bailey, who’s side are you on?) and this is the only image I have representative of their collection. [Shop here]
