Our content partners, The Millenary, recently attended the launch of Tumi’s Fall Winter 2015 collection and we were struck by how cohesive the designs were for the season. Founded by Charlie Clifford and inspired by his globetrotting days that saw him serving the Peace Corps in Peru, the fall collection is rich in colours and end-to-end accessories which makes all the fuss at airport check in and security all the more tolerable. More importantly, it’s a style of travel which is highly versatile and well considered when Tumi has made extra effort to create stylishly functional 2-in-1 carryalls and totes that don’t leave you feeling like some sartorial buffoon.

It's a kind of intelligent design which makes this collaboration with Mini Cooper really cool yet functional. The yellow striped "panels" unzip to become their own laptop briefcase with the roll-on luggage, a tote bag with the backpack and another tote with the carry-all

With the rich, attractive colour palette, it’s more than just aesthetically pleasing, it becomes a beacon call in the drab charcoals and black duffels and suitcases which rotate on the carousel and the tedium of waiting for luggage is the last thing you want to do when all you want is to get out and start your holiday.

I like Tumi FW 2015 for its innovativeness but mostly because it matches my go-to travel watch: a Tudor Heritage Chronograph. it's affordable, not likely to get me mugged and more importantly, thanks to the bezel, can serve dual timezones with a simple rotation.
