Know the different styles of Sunglasses

Bruce Willis wore a pair of Shuron Ronsirs Browline sunglasses in popular series Moonlighting the mid 80s
Clubmaster: Also known as Browline style of sunglasses was popularised in the United States during the 1950s. Its association with intellectualism was the result of Malcom X’s exclusive use of several pairs in various designs from American Opitcal Sirmonts. By the time Bruce Willis wore a pair of Shuron Ronsirs in popular series Moonlighting the mid 80s, Ray-Ban leveraged on their dominance in the market by releasing their own rendition – the Clubmaster Max. Its revival today can be attributed to hipster subculture.
Wayfarer: Next to the Aviator, the Wayfarer is credited as a revolutionary design change from metal eyewear during the 50s and 60s. Its popularity led to its ubiquity, in turn becoming the fundamental shape for contemporary eyewear today. Oakley dominated the 90s with their wrap-arounds but Ray-Ban returned to fashion on the backs of celebrities like Chloë Sevigny and Katy Perry.
Keyhole: Popularised by Steve McQueen’s donning of Persols in The Thomas Crown affair, and perpetuated by Robert Downey Jr. and Ryan Gosling in day-to-day life captured in streetwear shots, the keyhole sunglass frames occupies a growing style in popular Zeitgeist thanks to its retro design and adoption by Hollywood A-list..
Square Aviators: An evolution of the classic Top Gun aviator as worn by Maverick, the classic frames have grown into a modern squared shape, in part, inspired by Kanye West. But in reality, promoted ever so aptly by Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) in the cult hit spy-series Burn Notice and today, James Spader in Blacklist.
Round: An avant garde, recently trending John Lennon-esque style of shades actually has historical links all the way back to Pu Yi, the Last Emperor of China.
